A recent “Dancing with the Stars” event raised more than $8,600 for Sacred Heart School in Poplar Bluff, MO. Co-hosted by Southern Bank, it was the sixth annual “Dancing With the PB Stars” competition and was held on Feb. 27 at the historic Rodgers Theatre in downtown Poplar Bluff. The fund-raiser helps with the programs and needs of Sacred Heart School.

The event was made possible in large part by the organizational efforts of Sacred Heart Catholic Church parishioner Billy Hirtz of Southern Bank. The $8,600 raised was more than last year, according to Hirtz, who was excited about the outcome of the event. Couples competing were Team Clark (Emily Clark Parks and her father, John Clark), Team Chilton (Danielle and Neal Chilton), Team McConnell (Jeri McConnell and Levi Painter), and Team Farris (David Farris and his daughter, Julie Ferguson Farris).
