Online/Hybrid Training for PSR & Youth Ministry
Online/Hybrid Training for PSR & Youth Ministry
Traditional classroom models for faith formation may not be the best fit for some families or for some circumstances. We highly encourage parishes to have a hybrid plan in place that allows for both online learning as well as on site parish faith formation. If families are using online materials for catechesis, it is important that catechetical leaders and catechists keep consistent and frequent communication with children and parents as they accompany them on their journey of faith. The following resources are provided to allow for a safe and effective online experience.
- Ministry leaders and catechists are to be aware of Guidelines for Virtual Class Meetings.
- All online sessions must abide by the Diocesan Policy and Guidelines for use of Technology, Email, and Social Media. A copy of these guidelines should also be share with parents. English / Spanish
- All parents are to read and sign a Parent/Guardian Consent and Media Release form before their children participate in any online PSR or Youth Ministry setting. Parent/Guardian Consent & Media Release Form English / Spanish
- For additional information, please visit the Resources tab in the Office of Child & Youth Protection.
The ECYF Office is NOT recommending any particular digital platform for PSR/Youth Ministry. These trainings were designed to provide options for pastors, catechetical leaders, and youth ministry leaders to utilize digital tools.
